Functional, imperfect, one of a kind. The gallery is the whole body of work; a smaller selection is available in the shop.
There's no online checkout here — pieces are sold directly by me. Add the ones you're interested in, send me your list, and I'll reply personally to confirm what's available and sort out payment, pickup, or shipping.
For most of my life, my artistic outlets have been in music, photography, theater, and woodworking. I found ceramics during a year when I committed to trying art forms that I had never done before. The goal was to take classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and mixed-media. Ceramics was the 2nd new art form I tried that year and I got hooked immediately.
To me, it's a great antidote to sitting behind a computer all day — one that takes being in tune with your body and seeing possibilities. I find it extremely satisfying to make things with my hands, and it's even more fulfilling to know that other people enjoy and use the things I make.
After 6–7 years of learning ceramics (on and off), I still consider myself a novice. I'm still working on learning new techniques, developing the ability to be more consistent, and most of all, finding my 'voice' as a ceramic artist. I currently tend toward making functional pieces, but am slowly experimenting with new creative ideas.
I will occasionally offer items for sale on this site. My goal is only to help support my ceramics addiction by offsetting some of my material and studio costs. Thanks for visiting!
